To the understandable confusion of many, my announcement about launching www.FreeEnterpriseWarriors has been a bit premature. Not in its intention, but in its implementation.
The site is currently under construction. Really, it is – I promise. If our valued technology partner and web master has his way, it will be up and working by the end of this month.
But, this only says what we intend, not what we mean. So, what is a Free Enterprise Warrior and what will this site do?
First things first, a F.E.W. (free enterprise warrior) is a person who has made a commitment to build their own business – to put it on the line, take the risk, follow the dream, stay the course and be their own boss. Hopefully they will be a better boss for themselves (and others) than they have ever been bossed by another.
And that leads us to the second part, the website and its mission. Helping people be great bosses and great business owners. It is our intention that FreeEnterpriseWarriors.com will serve the needs of the growing global entrepreneurial transformation.
As Seth Godin says in his latest book Tribes (be sure to get it and devour its wisdom) 2oo years ago we got rid of the king and now we no longer need the CEO. In other words, business expansion will now be small, nimble and mostly local. It will be tribal!
The company that Laurie and I are launching will educate, support and encourage these new entrepreneurs – in all business categories and all around the world. We’ll do it on the website, via teleconferences, with webinars, at special events and in local seminars.
We are building a “council of warrior leaders” to help us launch the mission and serve our clients. They will be experienced entrepreneurs from a variety of business arenas. Together we will become partners in business building (PIBBS) – for ourselves and for many others.
If you are curious about partnering with us in this venture, experiencing a new challenge, sharing your business wisdom and making a difference in the world, let me know (firstname.lastname@example.org). May the Force be with us!
